What is Shiny Object Syndrome?
⠀
It's the condition where a business person is constantly being distracted by a sparkly, new idea.
⠀
"Oooh... look at that idea! That has awesome potential - I have to go grab a domain for that right now..."
⠀
Look, no shade. I have been there, done that, bought the t-shirt and been interviewed for the book 😆 - and to some extent, I STILL DO IT!

It's the nature of the beast when you're an entrepreneur, especially online.⠀We're always coming up with new ideas.
⠀
Having lots of ideas may make you a great entrepreneur, but acting on too many of those ideas at once fragments your time and resources.
⠀
The biggest issue with Shiny Object Syndrome is: those with the worst cases are always chasing something new and NEVER FINISH WHAT THEY START.
⠀
At some point, you have to make a decision to stop taking impulsive action on ALL of your ideas and FOCUS in on the projects that you've already started.
⠀
This may be easier said than done, so how about I give you a strategy to employ?

When you get a new great idea...
⠀
Write it down, put it in an envelope and mail it to yourself.⠀If you still love the idea when it arrives in the mail, you can take action.
⠀
(Just Kidding)😂
⠀
Do write it down though.⠀You could start an idea journal to store all of your ideas in.⠀If you do, you'll be able to relax and know that the ideas can be accessed and acted upon later.
⠀
Having them on hand in a collected journal gives you the time and ability to go back, sift through, and pick out the ones after some reflection that you have concluded will be the best use of your time.

Remember, Good is often the enemy of Great.⠀Taking on too many 'good' ideas will eventually mean that you're embracing a 'good enough' attitude for each -- instead of pursing GREATER success by focusing in more on fewer projects.

You'll work harder but be earning less, and that's certainly not what you're aiming for, right?
⠀
Above all, PRAY about your ideas!⠀Ask God to give you discernment and direction.

Yes, this actually is a thing...I didn't make it up. 😆
I'm pretty thankful for it. However, you don’t have to wait for a national holiday because EVERY DAY is a good day to give thanks.

Thanking God for a few things in your life, DAILY is a tantamount practice that brings peace, clarity and overwhelming gratitude (sans drama).

Give thanks for the big things...
Give thanks for the small...
Give thanks in the here & now...
Give thanks for IT ALL!

And, keep it a drama-free zone today...except for the #lashes
  • AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE IS A WAY OF LIFE!

The quickest way to get into the habit of gratitude daily: 
Find three things to be grateful for, first thing in the morning—before even opening your eyes! 

And then, at night, when your head hits the pillow, think of three things you were grateful for that happened during the day. 

I know that you've already woken up, but throw three things you're grateful for at me...GO!
  • Did you ever stop to think just how wearing the proper eyelashes can change your WHOLE LOOK?
